What did you collect this period, at which rates, and does it agree with your own books? That's the whole question a sales-tax return starts with, and this plugin answers it from the invoices you already raised. Gridzu itself is free; the suite of four plugins is what you pay for.
Pick a period and every invoice you raised is grouped by the rate it charged: taxable sales, tax collected, exempt sales counted apart. Voided invoices are skipped and named; an undated one is named too rather than guessed into a period.
Each line recomputes taxable sales times the rate and compares it with what was actually charged. Rounding passes; a hand-edited figure is flagged — before you copy it onto a form, not after.
With the Accounting plugin, the worksheet stands next to the ledger's own liability account: held at the start, collected, paid over, still holding. When the two disagree, it says so and says why — usually invoices not posted yet.
A table of your places and their combined rates — state plus city plus county as one number. Yours to keep current, visible on every invoice that used one, and zero is a real rate: five states have no sales tax at all.
