Gridzu itself is free — there is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund. Plugins are $10 per month each. Cancel one whenever you like, from inside the app, in a couple of clicks; you keep it until the end of the month you've already paid for. If a plugin isn't for you, tell us within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full. If a renewal caught you out, tell us within 14 days of the charge and we'll refund that too.
This summary is for convenience only. The detail below is what applies, and it forms part of our Terms of Service.
The Gridzu app is free. A free account is required to use it, but there is no charge for the app itself and no trial that turns into a bill.
Plugins are optional add-ons that you buy separately. Each is $10 per month, charged in US dollars, and each is its own subscription — buying one has no effect on any other, and you can hold one plugin without holding the rest.
Cancel any time, yourself, without emailing anyone and without explaining why. In the Gridzu app, open your account and choose Manage billing. That opens your billing page, where you can cancel a plugin, change the card on file, or download past invoices.
Cancelling stops the next payment. You keep the plugin until the end of the period you have already paid for — your billing page shows the exact date — and after that it simply goes quiet in the app.
Your data is yours and stays where it is. Gridzu keeps your tables on your own computer, so cancelling a plugin does not delete, lock, or hold anything hostage. The tables a plugin worked with are ordinary Gridzu tables and remain fully usable without it. If you buy the plugin again later, it picks up exactly where you left off.
We would rather refund somebody than argue with them. Two clear cases, and neither needs a reason:
Outside those cases we don't refund part-months: cancelling mid-month stops the next payment rather than refunding the current one, and you keep the plugin for the rest of the period you paid for. If something has genuinely gone wrong — you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or the plugin didn't work and we couldn't fix it — write to us and we will put it right, whatever the dates say.
Email support@gridzu.com from the address on your Gridzu account, and say which plugin and roughly when you were charged. That is all we need.
We reply within 2 business days. Once a refund is issued it goes back to the card you paid with, and your bank typically takes a further 5–10 business days to show it.
If a renewal doesn't go through — an expired card, usually — Stripe will retry over the following days and email you. While the subscription is unpaid, the plugin stops working in the app; the moment the payment succeeds it comes back on its own, with nothing to reinstall and nothing lost.
If we change what a plugin costs, we will email you at least 30 days before it affects you, and the new price only applies from your next renewal after that notice. You can cancel before then and pay nothing further.
If we discontinue a plugin, or close your account for a reason other than a breach of the Terms, we will refund the unused part of the period you have paid for.
If you see a charge you don't recognise, please write to us first. We are one person and an email address, we answer quickly, and almost every case is resolved the same day. Raising a dispute with your bank instead takes considerably longer for you and costs us a fee on top of the refund — so it is worth an email before a phone call to your bank.
